It’s going to be an interesting year.
The 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games are coming to Vancouver and Whistler, and will be occupying pretty much all of my time between now and March 25. And although I’m incredibly excited to take part in the Games, I’ve already started looking ahead to what the rest of the year will hold.
One of the many things I want to accompish this year is to step outside of my literary comfort zone and start reading a greater variety of genres, styles and formats. For me, this will include reading essay and short story collections, YA fiction, graphic novels, mysteries/thrillers, and more Canadian fiction.
I’ll post progress reports throughout the year, and always welcome suggestions of books to read.
