A few months ago, Brain Candy Books profiled Intrepid Pens, an amazing reading and writing program for women in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside neighbourhood.
Intrepid Pens has applied for a Pepsi Refresh Grant, and needs your support. In order to receive $25,000 to continue to grow the program, Intrepid Pens must be voted one of the top two ideas for their category, as decided by the Canadian public.
It’s easy to vote: just visit refresheverything.ca and register. Once you’ve registered, you can vote every day. Voting closes October 31, and yes, that means I will be asking you to vote every single day until then. Set a daily reminder in your calendar, and vote away! Tell your friends, tweet it, put a link on Facebook, just get the word out…
